Sierra Nevada Pale Ale - Legendary Pale Ale

Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest - Festbier brewed in collaboration with Stortebeker

Sierra Nevada Barrel Aged Narwhal - Bourbon barrel aged imperial stout

MORE ABOUT SIERRA NEVADA:

"Ken Grossman, founder of Sierra Nevada, made a habit of chasing curiosity. His early years of backyard tinkering and covert science projects set the stage for the ultimate discovery: homebrewing.

Fascinated by the alchemy of fermentation, Ken opened The Home Brew Shop in Chico, slowly playing with more hop-forward flavors at a time when American beer wasn’t known for taking chances.

When he finally started a brewery, Ken scoured salvage yards and defunct dairies to find the tanks, pipes, and valves he needed to hand-build Sierra Nevada’s original brewhouse.

On November 15, 1980, he put his first batch of craft beer to the test. That heady stout was a 13-hour labor of love, and after one sip, he knew he had a keeper. The Pale Ale that followed sparked a true craft beer revolution. The adventure’s never stopped, and our curiosity’s still brewing."

MORE ABOUT RECLUSE BREW WORKS:

"At RBW we tend to focus on Lagers, but we are intensely focused on perfecting every brew whether it’s a new Pilsner or an IPA. Which is why you might not see us out and about that much. You’ll find us in a factory a little off the beaten path. We aren’t hiding, we’re just busy pouring our heart into our craft and making something delightful for you."

MORE ABOUT SWIFT CIDER:

"In 2015, Swift Cider was born in a sublet corner of a wild mushroom distribution warehouse in Portland, Oregon. Founded with limited funds and a massive passion for fermentation, Aidan and Jeremy set out to share craft cider with the world.

Named after Portland’s favorite bird, the company honors diversity by making ciders for the whole flock. Swift has grown from a garage-sized operation to an award-winning craft cidery with the love and support of the local community. We pay it back with incredible flavor and artful fermentation.

The story of Swift is about dedication to the craft of cider making, being scrappy, and never giving up. Over the years, we’ve built our own equipment, pioneered whole fruit cider making, saved heirloom apples, won awards, and supported a growing family of non-profits, artists, musicians, and even the little birds we’re named after! We’ve also stayed late, pinched pennies, worked unpaid, pivoted, rebranded, and wondered if it would all work out. Only true passion lasts this long."

HELP SAVE BELMONT STATION'S COVERED SEATING AREA!

The city of Portland is requiring Belmont Station to remove the overhead structure over our sidewalk café space in front of our building. This cover, which allows for several extra seats for our customers has protected beer lovers from the elements for more than five years!

Additionally, unlike umbrellas, the structure has allowed Belmont Station to maintain outdoor seating for all but the coldest and wettest days of the year, giving our customers more space and helping us keep the lights on during these uncertain times for the service industry.

Estimated cost to tear down the structure is about $1500 with yet-unknown additional cost for procuring alternative yet inferior coverings for or sidewalk café seats. That's a lot of pints.

We are asking the City to reconsider their decision to tear down our overhead structure and would like to present officials with a petition signed by our customers and vendors requesting it be saved. Please sign the petition in either the bar or the bottle shop if you want to Save The Structure! We will be presenting these documents during our meeting with the City in a couple of weeks.

Thank you to each of you that make Belmont Station truly Portland's Place To Be(ER) since 1997!

Bottle Shop Tasting: Wild Ride Brewing!

Wild Ride Brewing became an idea in 2011. But the beer wasn't flowing until 2014 in Redmond Oregon. Since then, they have produced some award winning beers that include some very unique and inventive styles.

Join us and Wild Ride tomorrow in the bottle shop and you see for yourself what makes them so great.

MORE ABOUT WILD RIDE BREWING:

"Our Wild Ride began when the idea of creating an awesome brewery came alive. A group of lifelong friends, who grew up in Redmond, started plotting the course. With no professional brewer on the team, priority one was finding the right team to create the brews. Through the ups and downs and twists and turns, we met many interesting and special people along the way. Our brewers have been brewing award-winning beers since the beginning and continue to craft innovative and fun styles!

Another important chapter to our story included finding the perfect location. In 2013, we found just that in an old lumber storage building in downtown Redmond. And that’s when this Wild Ride really took off! The building had four walls, concrete floors, garage doors and a tall ceiling, which was all we needed. We then created a plan to add everything else, beginning with running water (some of the best in the Pacific NW). We are thrilled to have found this location in our hometown, and there is no other place we would rather call home for our brewery."

AVAILABLE TO TRY IN THE BOTTLE SHOP:

Wild Ride Dashboard Dreams - IPA

Wild Ride Cold Chillin' - Vanilla cream ale

Wild Ride Whoopty Whoop - Hefeweizen

Wild Ride Nut Crusher - Peanut butter porter

Wild Ride Toes In The Water - West Coast pilsner

pFriem Fruited Spontanee - Fruited wild ale

pFriem Stone Fruit Cuvee - Fruited wild ale

MORE ABOUT pFRIEM:

"In 2011 Josh Pfriem was well on his path to becoming a master brewer, but that path veered dramatically the day he was introduced to Ken Whiteman and Rudy Kellner at a child’s birthday party. The three went on to form the brain trust that would eventually create pFriem.

They shared a deep love of family, the Columbia River Gorge and of course, great beer — but more importantly, each brought his own unique skill set to the table, creating the means and vision to not only make great beer, but to operate a great business. A year-and-a-half and hours of hard work later, the brewery opened its doors for the first time, and the three founders realized the beginning of their unique dream.

pFriem Family Brewers has since become a household name in the Pacific Northwest, but with rapid growth, came new business challenges and increased demand to bring more of the best possible beer in the world to beer lovers. The executive team needed a new partner with the skills and experience to take the helm of pFriem’s finances and steer it towards a glorious future. As fate would have it, Rudy Kellner had spent six years prior to pFriem working with just such a person. He knew that Sonya White’s skills and history of solid financial leadership made her an excellent choice, but it was their shared values and trust-based working relationship that sealed the deal.

If things do happen for a reason, then what better reason than to champion family, community and create one of the world’s best premium craft beers to be enjoyed by all who love them? We can’t think of one, so here’s to fate.

Op uw gezondheid!"

MORE ABOUT BONEYARD BEER:

"Most breweries start with a plan.

We started with some scrap metal (or what those larger breweries deemed as scrap). To us, with no balance in the bank account, we considered every chunk of scrap as gold.

Prior to churning out the first few batches in 2010, Tony amassed as much equipment as he could that other brewers had put out to pasture – all while he was consulting on brewhouse installations and projects around the world. Not that the equipment was bad, it was just no longer needed or did not fit in the new designs or installations these brewers were putting into service.

The quality of the equipment wasn’t where the importance lied, and still isn’t – it’s the quality of the beer you produce using that equipment.

Design/Cut/Weld/Fabricate was our means of making exactly what we needed to challenge any brewer in making some high quality liquids. We use a “unitank” style of brewing, which means the beer is never transferred, moved, beat up, or bruised in the process. A gentle transformation into a perfect beer without any of the complexities. And we’re still cranking away on the same equipment that we’ve kept in perfect running order, and made better over time.

“Clean, Balanced, Interesting” – Tony Lawrence"

Bottle Shop Tasting: Tieton Cider Works!

Tieton Cider Works is joining us tomorrow all the way from Yakima Washington for a very special tasting in the bottle shop. Tieton grows their apple and pears on a 55 acre farm up there. Which is the largest farm for cider apples and pears in the whole state of Washington!

The fruit that is used in Tieton Cider Works cider comes from Craig and Sharon Campbell’s ‘Harmony Orchards’. This land has been in their family since the 1920’s when their grandfather planted his first trees in Tieton, Washington.

MORE FROM TIETON CIDER WORKS:

"As a third generation Yakima Valley farmer with a degree in horticulture from Washington State University and over thirty five years of experience in marketing produce, Craig was always curious about the history, science, and industry of cider. Growing different varieties of trees is truly what makes the Craig happy and he is always looking for new varieties to nurture. With 55 acres, we now farm the largest acreage of Cider apple and Perry Pears in the state of Washington.

In 2008 he was introduced to cider apple varieties and planted twenty five varieties in a test block to study the growing patterns: did each fit into the existing bloom and harvest schedule of the farm, what were the flavor profiles of the fruit, and did it make delicious cider?

He was also introduced to “winemaker” Marcus Robert, a local and 3rd generation farmer himself. A twenty year partnership and many national cider awards later, Marcus overseas all facets of Tieton Cider Works’ day to day operations."

AVAILABLE TO TRY IN THE BOTTLE SHOP:

Tieton Watermelon Basil - Cider with watermelon and basil

Tieton Hazy Strawberry - Unfiltered strawberry cider

Tieton Lavender Honey - Dry cider with lavender and honey

RAW Cider Company uses mostly French traditional methods when making cider with the goal to always attain clean and balanced ciders. RAW Prides themselves in doing the work most are not willing to do.

MORE FROM RAW CIDER:

And so, RAW Cider was born! He realized he could accomplish his goal while also helping people live better lives by creating a product that was more natural; straight from the earth. Levi takes pride in what he does from orchard practices to production and bottling product. Tiny Giants Brewing Sneak Peek Launch Party!

Beer industry powerhouse Steve Beaudoin has started his own brewery here in Portland Oregon and Belmont Station is your place to try his beer first! Tiny Giants will have a grand opening/launch on June 14th in SE Portland. But the day before, Steve and his beers will be available here. Come on down and check out one of Portland's newest breweries!

MORE FROM STEVE BEAUDOIN:

“Tiny giants is a phrase I’ve had for a while. It comes from a line from one of my favorite bands, Modest Mouse. I’ve always liked the juxtaposition of it sounding like complete nonsense, but also can be a metaphor of life, and ourselves on this planet. Beers made with a bunch of little ‘tiny giants’ coming together, so to speak. Ingredients wise, and all the people collaborating to make such a small thing possible and exceptional.”

“I’ve been in the industry professionally for about a decade, and have done almost every job in beer production. I started with mobile canning in New England, and then moved to Portland in 2016 and started as temp help with cascade brewing. Through the almost three years there, I learned all about sour beer and barrel management. Then went on to Old Town Brewing and learned and grew on the hot side of brewing. After old town, went to join the start up of Fracture Brewing, and became head brewer after a year or so. After they shut down the brewery is when I decided to just do this all myself, with the help of a whole bunch of industry friends. Just trying to bring back brewer owned brewers, and actual craft and care of the industry. Cheers!!”

-Steve Beaudoin

Tiny Giants Nexus Of The Universe - West Coast IPA

Tiny Giants Laser Eyes - Japanese lager

In the early 1900’s, Stephen began making cider on the farm for family and friends alike to enjoy. Today, we continue his legacy by blending modern cidermaking with tried-and-true heritage methods using fruit grown and harvested on our farm whenever possible. Breakside And Boneyard Turn 15!

Bring your friends and let's party! Breakside Brewery and Boneyard Beer are turning 15 this month. Literally they both opened their doors within days of each other! Wild! To celebrate this monumental occasion. Both breweries are setting off for a pub crawl. The first stop? Right here at Belmont Station.

Join us and these two amazing breweries for a few hours of celebration as we tap their official anniversary collaboration IPA called Quince. This IPA sits perfectly at 6% ABV making it the perfect summer sipper with a light body and citrus forward hop profile and just a touch of lime zest.

Alongside the anniversary collab, we let both breweries pick out some of their beers to showcase on draft.

We will be featuring a ton of package beers from both as well in the bottle shop including Quince. So come be the first to try it and stay for a while as we party with both Breakside and Boneyard!

MORE ABOUT BREAKSIDE:

"Breakside Brewery opened in 2010 in Northeast Portland as a restaurant and pub brewery and has grown to be a highly regarded regional brewery producing 30,000 barrels annually. The brewery is known for its broad portfolio of award-winning, innovative beers. In 2013, Breakside expanded operations to Milwaukie, OR with a production facility and taproom capable of producing 40,000 barrels of beer per year. Today, Breakside operates five locations in the Portland area as well as a taproom on the Oregon Coast in Astoria, Oregon. In 2019, Breakside became one of only a handful of employee-owned breweries in the country.

In addition to winning many national, international, and regional awards for its beers, Breakside was named Brewery of the Year in 2017 and 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 at the Oregon Beer Awards and the 2018 Best of Craft Beer Awards. Breakside sells beer on draft and in package in Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, Northern California, British Columbia, Alberta and Japan."

MORE ABOUT BONEYARD:

AVAILABLE ON DRAFT:

Breakside x Boneyard Quince - Anniversary IPA

Breakside Post Time - Kolsch

Breakside Western Harvest Time - IPA

Boneyard Boneafide - Pale ale

Boneyard Rebellious Intent - New Zealand lager
