MORE ABOUR GEORGETOWN BREWING:

"Manny asked me to write up a history of the brewery for the website.

In general, I find history pieces really boring. It’s always the same kind of thing about how the founders loved beer so much, they decided to quit their boring insurance jobs where they couldn’t drink beer for a living, and dedicate their lives to brewing well crafted beers.

First of all, everyone loves beer. Even if you don’t, you know someone that does. Second, everyone hates their boring jobs and wishes they could drink beer for work. Third, no one sets out to intentionally make bad beer, even at Strangebrew in Port Townsend.

Instead, I wrote a really impassioned think piece about growlers, how the growth of our growler program mirrored the history of the company. It was really clever. Or brave. Or meta. I thought it was good. And I’m pretty sure I didn’t mention cats once.

But Manny wanted something more along the lines about how he and Roger met over their love of ultimate frisbee (aka, beer drinking) and wanted to start a business together because they hated working for The Man and they actually wanted to open up a cat food company. Just kidding, they wanted to start a brewery. Literally: they loved beer, quit an insurance job (that was Roger, Manny may or may not have been employed at the time) and wanted to make really good beer. You know, boring.

So, here’s the history of the brewery - two guys that liked beer a lot and hated working for other people came together to start a brewery. Between the time they brewed test batches of pale ales and purchased a 15 barrel system from a defunct brewery in North Carolina in 2002, to now when they support nearly 100 employees and are the largest independent brewery in Washington State, a lot has happened. How about you come down to the brewery and we’ll tell you all about it over some beer?"

MORE ABOUT MIGRATION BREWING:

"On a sunny day in the Fall of 2008, we found ourselves sharing beers and engrossed in a conversation that began about starting a business but quickly delved into personal values and visions of the future. The four of us quickly realized that we shared more than a passion for great beer; we shared a value set about life and the role that beer plays in it. A dream was born and the wheels were set in motion to open our flagship Glisan Street brewpub in early 2010.

The days were long and the sleep was short but year after the year our business grew through hard work and relationships. Migration endeared itself to the local community through fundraisers, events and tireless self-distribution of draft kegs. In the Spring of 2017 we signed with the largest beverage distributor on the west coast and the next chapter of the business began when we opened our 20,000sf Gresham production facility in 2018. Since then, the company has become one of the fastest growing breweries in Oregon with distribution in Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Idaho, Hong Kong, and Japan.

We believe that every beer we make has the power to ignite a conversation. To bring an idea to life. To bring people together. We invite you to share in our values of community, chasing dreams and passion for great beer!"

Columbia Distributing Presents: Full Sail Tasting Featuring Session!

Full Sail Brewing will be in the bottle shop tasting out their new line of Session! You might all remember Session from years ago. In bright new cans and my goodness do these taste amazing!

Session West Coast - West Coast hoppy lager

AVAILABLE ON DRAFT:

Full Sail Hop Pursuit - West Coast IPA

Full Sail Cherry Plum Belgian Blonde - Fruited Belgian blonde ale

MORE ABOUT FULL SAIL BREWING:

"The reason we started Full Sail in the first place was to build a company that was completely different from the ones where we’d previously worked. It wasn’t about business as usual. It was about finding our calling in life — about truly appreciating our “human resources,” and balancing work, life, family and friends in a way that makes life truly worth living.

So here we are. Ever humble, ever grateful, ever amazed that we got here in one piece. Still a mix of beer geeks and boardheads (not to mention mountain bikers, surfers, ultimate fanatics and powder hounds). Still independent. Still trying to find that perfect balance between art and commerce, work and play, inspiration and perspiration."

Colin’s love for cider-making stems from his childhood on a farm, where he learned the craft from his family and even created cider in glass bottles as heartfelt Christmas gifts. This deep connection to cider has encouraged his passion over the years.

Mark, coming from a family of engineers, brings a unique perspective to the team. His skill in mechanizing and customizing allows us to transform our dream of crafting consistent, high-quality, and affordable ciders into a reality."

MORE ABOUT STARFALL CIDER:

"Starfall Cider Co. is shaped by a team of passionate pommeliers in the Pacific Northwest who live and breathe the craft of cider.

We know great cider starts with fresh-pressed apples, but true excellence lies in the details—precise fermentation and layered flavor that’s complex, balanced, and effortless to enjoy. That’s what sets us apart.

MORE ABOUT RUSSIAN RIVER:

"Russian River Brewing Company was founded by Korbel Champagne Cellars in Guerneville, CA, in 1997. Vinnie was hired as the brewery’s brewmaster and initially sole employee. For the next 6 years, Vinnie continued to set the bar high for super hoppy and Belgian-inspired beers. Pliny the Elder, first brewed at the Korbel location in 1999, was one of the first commercially brewed Double or Imperial IPAs in America and won numerous awards over the years. It is still our most popular beer more than 20 years later.

In 2003, Korbel decided to get out of the beer business and transferred the rights to the Russian River Brewing Company name, all beer names, and the recipes to Vinnie and his wife, Natalie. We wrote a business plan, found 2 managing partners, and convinced 30 friends and family to invest in their new brewpub venture. In April 2004, we opened the doors to the next chapter of Russian River Brewing under our ownership."

MORE ABOUT YONDER CIDER:

"Cidermaking is a playground of the pretty and the ugly, the bitter and the sweet: It’s never a one-note song when done well. Our apples reflect the striking, complex terroir of Washington’s apple country — from juicy dessert fruit to biting, spirited cider varieties. Simply put, apples contain contradictions. And it’s when we follow their every wild and quiet possibility, and seek out juxtapositions of flavor, that we find our most delicious end result.

We make cider that’s as interesting as the land it comes from. Our apples grow in a rugged, sun-drenched, windblown Yonder — Wenatchee Valley, the heart of America’s apple country. With soil seasoned by glaciers and orchards sheltered by rocky bluffs, it’s an otherworldly place that produces the best fruit we know of. We hope you like the bright and bold tastes of this special landscape — and that you enjoy a Yonder anywhere there’s a friendly face."

Our approach to fermentation is a balance between modern technique and allowing nature to influence us and the cider. We’re on a journey to co-ferment locally grown apples, grapes and other fruits to craft unique, delicate and relentlessly dry ciders that become little stories of a place and time.

Closing Out Self Distro Month With GoSelfDistro!

We will be finishing our Self Distro month by showcasing a new movement out there to help hardworking self-distributing companies succeed while also making it easier for buyers to have all the information in one seamless location.

GoSelfDistro is a new ordering tool for buyers that links all participating self distributing breweries and cideries in one easy to navigate page. This makes for an easy and cohesive way of ordering without leaving out or forgetting about anyone within the large shuffle of the beer industry. It is also a massivly helpful tool to help each of these hardworking self-distro companies succeed. Most of these smaller self-distributing brands don't always have the time and resources to reach out or visit every account. GoSelfDistro acts as the middle person for buyers to contact and order from all participating brands. With live inventory and direct links to brand reps, GoSelfDistro is making a huge movement in the crowded world of larger companies.

The brands that join GoSelfDistro are the heart and soul of craft brewing. These are the local makers doing the work they love. These are the people who can best tell the story of their beer. When you drink a beer, cider or wine made by a GoSelfDistro associated producer, the money you spend stays in our communities, supporting brewer, sales people and delivery drivers, - who, in many cases, may be the very same person.

Our big 29th anniversary is this Friday and we have so many things to share with you all!

First, as always, our draft list will be curated by our wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Check out the draft list below and everything we picked out!

Next, remember Belmont Station Hot Sauce? We do too and we have missed it dearly. We reached out to our good friends at HAB Sauce and asked them if they wanted to make another round for us. This year we teamed up with Baerlic and they made us one of our favorite IPA's to date! From the flavor to the ABV to the label (which is very dear to our hearts here). We couldn't be happier!

All personnel proceed to escape pods. Close down the circus. Evacuate the zoo, prepare for ludicrous speed and come try BELMONT STATION: THE BEER! for yourself exclusively here at Belmont Station.

We are proud to showcase our ability in our craft with the self awareness to know that we are always learning and growing.

WHAT DO WE MAKE?

We aim to make clean, intentional, and curious beers in our brewery. Explorative, yet refined versions of classic and upcoming styles such as Lager beer, IPA, Stouts, sessionable, restrained fruited beers, and everything in between will have a home on our menu. We strive to use unique and expressive hand selected malts and hops from the best growing regions in the world.

HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?

We are different because our collective and unique experiences have driven us to the cutting edge of the beer industry. Through our exploration of styles and ingredients, we have developed our ability to make beers that are extreme but have more so learned to make beers that are balanced, nuanced, and delicious."

April is Self-Distro Month!

  • Google Calendar ICS

Our next Distributor Showcase month will feature all the hard working people that make, package and deliver their beers and ciders directly to our front doors. Self Distribution is a Do-It-Yourself model where the creators of these products retain quality control, brand awareness, product freshness and a larger share of revenue by bypassing the middlemen. However, this model also brings a larger responsibility and harder work then the traditional distributor side of the business and typically calls for a larger upfront investment for warehouse space, staffing, vehicles and more.

For the month of April, we will make sure to showcase as many of them as we possibly can in the bar and the shop. Stop in anytime this month and ask our staff to point you in the right direction and see for yourself just how many breweries and cideries are working within this model.

Join us tomorrow for a full tap takeover from a ton of these brands!

March Distributor Showcase: Orval Day!

"The Orval legend began almost 1,000 years ago, when a princess accidentally dropped her ring into a spring and a trout returned it. It continues now, with a day to reflect on and enjoy this amazing Trappist ale.

On Orval Day, devotees of Orval Trappist Ale – and some folks who maybe have not tried it yet – convene to celebrate one of the world’s unique and highly-respected beers.

Orval Trappist Ale was the first Brett beer to land on US shores, and has become the favorite beer for many star American brewers. ( “Brett” – brettanomyces – is a yeast variety that adds appetizing, sharp acidity and dryness.) Orval is brewed to exquisite perfection within the walls of Notre Dame d’Orval Monastery in Belgium. It’s delicious when it leaves the brewery, but also evolves in the bottle for five years or more.

Each year we make a donation to charity based on US sales of Orval on Orval Day. For 2025, our charitable contribution went to National Forest Foundation."

Come on down on Saturday and buy some Orval to take home with you, or have on at the bar! The first 24 people to buy a bottle at the bar get to take home a very special Orval glass!

MORE ABOUT BAUMAN'S CIDER:

"Our cider is made from apples and other fruits grown and harvested on Bauman’s Century Farm whenever possible.

Our farm was first homesteaded in 1895 and today, we keep those rich traditions alive by farming our land with reverence and being good stewards of the earth.

Christine began making cider in 2016, drawing from her wholesome childhood experiences making cider from a hand-cranked cider press with Grandpa Clyde, and working at her uncle’s fresh market stand. In her effort to perfect the modern version of Great-Grandpa Stephen’s original hard cider, Bauman's Cider was born.

This blending of modern cidermaking with tried-and-true traditional methods developed on the family farm, results in a hard cider which we think Stephen & Clyde would be proud of."
