Wild Hop Lager Website Returns
Out of curiosity I went to see if wildhoplager.com was back up. In a way it was, but after going through the age verification (what's the point of this anyway?) and waiting for the page to load it almost immediately crashed my browser with bad Flash. I was able to read it long enough to catch this little blurb:
"In today's world of artificial flavors, preservatives, and factory-farming, knowing what goes into what you eat and drink can just about drive you crazy. That's why we have decided to go back to basics and do things the way they were meant to be...naturally."
If this was from anyone other than A-B it would be admirable, but it strikes me as hypocritical considering the rest of their product line. I'm still disappointed that there's not a single mention of who's really behind "Green Valley Brewing" on the page. I guess it's not a surprise though...

Thanks for the upadate. I'm 102 years old and wildhoplager.com has no problem with that. The bad flash you expirienced shows fields of organic barley blowing in the wind behind a cold bottle of Wild Hop Lager, complete with animated drips of what I can only assume to be authentic beads of corporation-imitaiton-condensation. It's compelling in a way similar to when Steven Segal's band played at Dante's last night.
Did you go to the show? I had plans to go, but then the Mercury did their stupid Steven Segal issue and it became the "hot thing" to do. Standing shoulder to shoulder with hipsters and getting poked in the eye by their popped collars didn't seem like a fun time. Maybe I'll catch him on his next tour...
I was at work and had to enjoy it through the retelling of my friend, Brendon, who collected Steven's sweat rag, signed set lists, waterbottle, etc and plans to create a Steven Segal shadowbox shrine. What sort of evil would do this? I'm sure it's a joke.
Brendon's verdict is that he's a 'giant dueche' and his band sucks too. So there ya go. If I ever catch his show I'll be sure to stay close to the bar.
